Robin Harris is not only funny, he’s probably the funniest stand-up comedian I ever listened to. Be-Be’s Kids, which tops even Eddie Murphy’s classic Delirious set, is certainly the funniest album. The Piccolo Player bit goes on for a little too long; the snappy punchline is anticlimactic in comparison to the extended set-up; but the only time the laughs let up is, ironically enough, at the end when it finally comes around to the title topic. The antics of Bebe’s kids, a fictitious gang of “bad-ass” juveniles, just can’t match the ghetto hilarity of everything that comes before it. The show is especially entertaining when the comedian insults members of the audience.
