Actually Soul Glo, a made up product for the Eddie Murphy movie, Coming To America, is a parody of Afro Sheen. Afro Sheen was a product that became popular in the 1960s and 1970s as Afros became popular. In the 80s they’re most popular product was a spray to make your hair shine.
