On January 17, officers from 10th District Mission Team responded to a call of a criminal sexual assault at a residence in the 1800 block of S Kedzie. Officers heard a female voice screaming for help from inside the residence. Fearing for the victim’s safety, police forced entry into the residence and opened the unlocked bedroom door from which the screams were eminating. Police discovered the victim on the bed with the offender on top of her punching her in the head. Offender was placed into custody on signed complaints by the victim who is an acquaintance of the offender.
