Why already? Ok, so George Carlin died before receiving this award-Whoopi Goldberg didn’t. It’s not trivializing this award, it’s acknowledging that Tina Fey has brought a lot? to the world of comedy. As she says, she was the first person to be head writer on SNL, she has a multi-award winning sitcom & above all, she is someone that women can relate to. She’s down to earth and human, more than I can say for others. If you don’t like her, or didn’t want her to get this award, don’t watch it.
